(Sheridan, Wyo) Spring of 2017 brought the first issue of a new and exciting publication in Sheridan County called The Batch. According to the editors, “The Batch is Sheridan County’s creative journal, featuring fresh, talented teenage writers and artists.”
The Batch is handsomely printed bi-annually in the spring and the fall, and submissions are accepted for prose, poetry, photography, and art of any medium from Sheridan County residents age 13-19. All writing submissions will be returned to the author with a critique and feedback from the editorial team members.
It’s almost back to school time, and the fall submission deadline will be sometime in October, with the issue expected to print around Christmas Break. Sounds like a perfect opportunity to sharpen some young minds, and show off their talents to our community!
More specifically, submissions are sought in the following categories:
Short Stories/Fiction – (up to 5,000 words)
Novel Excerpts – (up to 5,000 words)
Poetry – (up to 3 poems)
