(Buffalo, Wyo.) While the crowds were scarce during the 3*2*1 sale early Saturday morning in Buffalo, they came out in full force that evening for the lighted ‘I’ll be home for Christmas’ parade. The weather behaved and the crowd was all smiles and giggles as the floats slowly drove by. Christmas music lofted in the air as the beautiful beams of lights lit up the night sky. Approximately 21 floats were entered in this years parade and of course Santa Clause was there, riding with the Paradise Guest Ranch. Winning commercial float went to First Northern Bank, Winning church float was the First Baptist Church AWANA group and winning the youth float along with taking the overall winners title was the Clover 4H.
Earlier on Saturday, the Learning Tree Christian Preschool had their holiday craft bazaar at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center where the children from Limelight Dance studio put on two different performances. In the smaller GYM, children gathered to decorate ginger bread houses. On the other end of town, the Buffalo Children’s Center held their craft bazaar with numerous vendors which included antler art and old window frames with vinyl sayings on them. While the crowds were not as big as they have been in previous years, many vendors said that the folks who did come out treated them very well.
Overall, it was a great weekend enjoyed by many.
